Downtown Demure Candle was born from a time of deep reflection and transformation in my life. A year into my recovery journey, I made a difficult choice to leave a high-paying job that drained my peace and left me searching for something more meaningful. I longed for a life filled with intention, spirituality, and deeper connections—with God, myself, and others.
In my quest for a more connected life, I discovered that candles could be more than just beautiful, fragrant objects. They could become powerful tools for spiritual practices, a source of joy, and a means of celebrating life’s special moments. That realization ignited my passion to create candles that not only support your spiritual journey but also reflect the unique beauty of your soul.

1. The most important connection I have in this life is the one I have with my Creator. This connection fuels everything I do. And that’s why I design with intention.
2. I am celebrating 2+ years of joyful sobriety from alcohol! My recovery journey is a huge piece of my identity and my spiritual journey. I aim to share some of the tools I’ve learned through AA through my products and business.
3. I proudly call Long Beach home and reside there with my darling husband and four (yes, four!) wild but precious animals.
