On the morning of New Year’s Eve, I plan to visit my father’s grave at Riverside National Cemetery, if it is not too rainy. I intend to wear this black cotton knit fit-and-flare dress from eShakti:

I have altered it to have a high scoop neckline, 3/4 length sleeves and a mid-calf length skirt. (I also have this style of dress, altered in the same manner, in Vibrant Garnet (a deep garnet red), and am ordering one of the same style and alterations in Bright Eggplant (which is more of an orchid color, in my opinion). My accessories would include this necklace from Ellie and James, in Antique Copper with a 30″ chain:

If I go out in the evening, I would still wear the eShakti black cotton knit fit-and-flare dress, but freshen my makeup and change my accessories (maybe put on pearl drop earrings, a couple of pearl necklaces — one is 22″, the other one 30″ — and a pearl bracelet?). Probably I would wear the Vibrant Garnet cotton knit fit-and-flare dress to church on the morning of New Year’s Day:

By the way, thank you very much for blogging about eShakti! Your blogging about eShakti helped me decide to buy from them for the first time in September. I now have four dresses from eShakti, and am awaiting the fifth. It’s like having your own personal dressmaker!

> KatherynHi Katheryn! I’m so very glad your enjoying your purchases from eShakti! It truly is like having a online dressmaker who’s always spot on. The dress style you mentioned in your comment is beautiful! I really like the eggplant color. I hope you were able to visit your father’s grave on the morning of NYE (so sorry for your loss, by the way) and we’re surrounded by loved ones in the evening. Happy New Year!
