One of my favorite perks of blogging is connecting with awesome people — other Christians, female entrepreneurs and small business owners. I love it! Each positive interaction I have through my blog is so special to me. That’s why I was thrilled to meet and work with Amber Kane, maker of fabulous hand woven cotton scarves and pillows. I stalked Amber’s scarves for a good while (and literally ‘liked’ every scarf photo she posted on Instagram). So when she asked me to style one of her gorgeous scarves, I had to say yes. When I received the Isadora scarf, I knew immediately that I wanted to put together a vibrant shoot with heavy contrast. The bright yellow and white storefront at the Piece Collective in Los Angeles made for the perfect spot to showcase the beauty of this scarf.
I don’t normally feature casual jean looks on here, but I couldn’t resist shooting my new favorite jeans: these white flares from Zara. If you’re like me, you’re growing tired of your worn out skinny jeans, and you’re searching for summer jeans that are both fun and flattering, yet not suffocating. If so, take a page from your parents’ fashion playbook book circa 1975 and invest in a sturdy pair of flared jeans.
I know what you’re thinking. There is NO way I’m sliding all of this into flared jeans. But, trust me. Flared jeans are surprisingly flattering on, and they instantly elongate your legs and add a bit of polish to your outfit. Flared jeans are the “it” jeans of the season and likely aren’t going away anytime soon. You don’t have to go full-out bell bottom (though that style is popular too right now). You can get a subtle flare, like the jeans I’m wearing here. Don’t be afraid to give them a try.
If you’re admiring Amber’s scarves but not sure you can afford one, head on over to my Instagram. I’m giving away a $50 gift certificate to Amber’s store. If you’re looking for an awesome pair of flared jeans to wear every day this summer, here are some affordable options:

Hi there. This is Ada. =) First of all I want to say I am glad I found your blog a few weeks ago and have been admiring your style and pinning your adorable outfits. You are very pretty, too. I am in love with my white skinny jeans and am wearing in today’s post also. Yours look lovely and fresh with the classic white button-down and adding the blue breezy scarf was genius!
You got a new fan. Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day as well.
P.S. How do I follow you?

You are ROCKING this white on white. I’ve been a little hesitant with this trend (pale red head, here!) but I always think it looks to fierce!
PS, can we share closets?
Elizabeth
> Courtney KincaidThanks, girlie! I think you should go for it worth a cute white shirt dress.

The monochromatic white look makes you so long and lean (which I am sure you are ). A great summery look!

You look gorgeous! I keep meaning to try a monochromatic outfit, thus far I haven’t.
Must remember to try that.

I love flared jeans and will definitely wear them out in public! Sometimes I feel like flared jeans are more comfortable than skinnies. Thank you for promoting modest clothing, I appreciate it so much! Especially in a world where being modest isn’t the most popular thing to do.

> LindseyThank you so much for that sweet comment, Lindsey! Fortunately, I think more people are starting to see the value in modest dress, so I’m hoping the rise in modest fashion will continue. And I agree — flares can be much more comfortable the skinnies (if you can find a pair that don’t require heels!). I’m enjoying giving my legs a little more breathing room. 🙂

Love this all white look, so prefect against your complexion. For now I am sticking to my skinnies, mostly because I’m 5’4 and flared jeans make me look short and chunky lol. I would have to always wear heels with them, but they suit you perfectly. So happy to have stumbled upon you 🙂
