Fearless Faithful Female: Morgan Lewis & A Review of Her Chloe + Isabel Boutique
One of my favorite benefits of blogging is connecting with triple F’s (Fearless Faithful Females) who make bold moves to start businesses with the sincere intent to honor God in their business practices. That’s why I’m so excited to introduce you to my blogging friend, Morgan Lewis, who recently started an online jewelry venture through Chloe + Isabel. Morgan asked me to give an honest review of one item from her boutique, and that’s just what I’ll do.
Before I give you my review of the Pave South ring, let’s hear from Morgan herself about her business and how her faith has shaped her goals for her boutique.
1) Tell us a little about yourself and background.
First and foremost, I’m a Christian. I love the Lord, and am so grateful for all He has done and continues to do for me. I’m also a wife to a wonderful man who loves his job as a collegiate soccer coach, a sister, a daughter, a step-sister, an aunt, a daughter-in-law, and a friend. I was born and raised in South Carolina, and am a Southern Gal to my core. I love jewelry and other things that make women of all shapes and sizes feel pretty, so joining Chloe + Isabel (C+I) was such a natural move for me!
2) What’s your vision for your business, and how has your faith played a role in shaping that vision?
My vision for my C+I business is multifaceted. First, I hope it continues to allow me opportunities to make some side income for myself and my husband. In addition, I pray that it allows me an opportunity to eventually be almost a sort of personal shopper: for women who need accessories to match an outfit, for men shopping for their ladies, and for someone who can’t quite decide what their style is and what items would suit them best. Finally (and most importantly), I pray that my business allows me the opportunities to meet people, both men and women, that I would not have had a chance to meet otherwise. I hope that through my dealings with others, they can see the Lord shine through me in all that I do both in and out of my business, and that some of those opportunities may even result in conversations about my faith.
3) Does your faith ever clash with your need to make money and grow your company?
Thankfully, I have not experienced a clash in business and faith with C+I. Having been on the receiving end of some pushy salespeople, poor products, and broken promises, I know exactly how it feels to be over-promised and under-sold. I was very intentional in finding something that I enjoy, and something that does not require me to push people into joining a team or a scheme in order to make money for myself. In carrying my business in a way that is honorable and trustworthy, I am in turn honoring God. And that’s the best way to grow a business.
4) Did you have any doubts before starting a company? How did your faith help you overcome those doubts?
I had plenty of doubts before I became a merchandiser!
“Am I good enough?”
“Can I really connect with people?”
“I’m not known by others for my fashion – why would someone buy jewelry from me?”
But it’s so important not to cast off things that call to you. If you have a tug on your heart, it’s likely the Lord speaking to you. Don’t ignore it – pray about it! If God brings you to an opportunity, He has equipped you to see it through. The rest is trusting and taking the leap! I have experienced, and continue to experience, tough months and setbacks; but I know that God has brought this opportunity to me, and He intends to help me in it.
5) Do you have any general advice for creative female entrepreneurs looking to start a business?
First, it’s so important that whatever you want to do is a passion. If it’s not a passion, it will shine through to everyone with whom you interact. I long to help women feel beautiful, to offer high quality products, to be able to stand behind the lifetime guarantee of the jewelry, and to help them become a merchandiser if it’s something they wish to pursue. I feel very strongly about these things, and I believe that’s the first thing required in starting your own business.
It’s also extremely important to be sure that your family and friends support your decision to start a business. This doesn’t mean that they necessarily invest monetarily, but you need to know that they are there to encourage you and pray for you when times get hard – my husband supports my business wholeheartedly, and is always quick to lend a hand when I have a pop-up shop to attend, meetings online, or calls to make – he pitches in all the time!
Finally, I think it’s important to pray that starting a business is God’s plan for you. If you pray and are open to receiving an answer, you will know without a doubt if He is telling you no, to wait for another time, or to move ahead.

Morgan’s own gracious, Christ-centered responses are likely sufficient enough to peak your interest in supporting her boutique. In case you need a little nudge, here is my review of the Pavé North South Ring (pictures below).
Product Quality + Use
As you can see from the photos, it’s a beautiful, well-made ring. Actually, it’s the prettiest ring I own. The pavé crystals have a wonderful sheen to them and the elegant shape makes the ring an ideal item to dress up any outfit. I’m actually considering wearing my ring to a black-tie event next week, but I just as easily wear this ring with a casual dress like the one I’m wearing above. I tend to prefer dainty, low-key rings, so I likely won’t wear this ring daily. However, it’s nice to have a dressier ring in my collection.
Customer Service
Working with Morgan was smooth and stress-free. My only issue: I had a hard time choosing just one item! I seriously took weeks to pick what I wanted (I alternated between five different items in my cart at one point). Once I finally picked my ring, Morgan ordered and shipped it with 24 hours of receiving my response. My ring was on my doorstep within a week. I’m a stickler for packaging (I like my packages to be wrapped and shipped with love), so I was pleased to receive an adorably decorated burlap sack with my ring neatly wrapped inside. Yes, I ordered as a friend of Morgan. However, based on what I know of Morgan’s character, I have no reason to believe she would treat a customer she didn’t know any differently.
Price
At $48, this ring is not Forever 21 cheap, but it’s definitely worth the price tag. As with all Chloe + Isabel jewelry, it comes with a lifetime replacement guarantee, it’s hypo-allergenic, and it’s lead-free and nickel-free (so there’s none of that icky stuff you might find with cheaply made fast fashion costume jewelry). Additionally, the quality of the pave crystals and the vintage-inspired design make it a ring that looks more expensive than it actually is.
Overall, if you’re looking to invest in an elegant statement ring to add the perfect dose of shine to any dress, I highly recommend this beauty. You also won’t regret supporting the sweet lady who runs this boutique.
