Friends, I’m so excited to introduce you to a new brand I’m partnering with called & Apparel, a ridiculously affordable online shop that specializes in quirky clothes and embroidered essentials. This was the first brand I pursued and asked to partner with because I just HAD to work with them — I believe that strongly in & Apparel. Why? The clothes are cute, modern, versatile, full of personality – and *everything* is under $50. No joke. Literally everything in her shop is affordable. (It doesn’t hurt that & Apparel, ran by the talented Andrea Updike, has one of the funniest Instagram accounts I follow.)
Andrea graciously offered to let me get a few pieces from her shop, and I was like an (indecisive) kid in a stylish candy store. After a lengthy deliberation, I chose the varsity sweater, leopard print pumps and the ampersand ring (seriously, how cute is that ring?!). I knew I had a how-to post on print-mixing in the works, so I wanted items with different prints that I could easily mix. If you’re looking to ease your way into the world of mixed prints, pair a sweater or top with an accessory of some sort (e.g., shoes, scarves, etc.) — just make sure both items have at least one common, unifying color or are in a similar color family. This outfit has plenty of black, white, and neutrals, so it was easy to mix the different prints. As I mentioned in my last post, leopard print is a neutral, and it goes with practically EVERY other kind of print.
I’m always slightly suspicious of clothing that’s so affordable, so I didn’t know what to expect when I opened my package. What I received was thick, well made poly blend sweater, a solid pair of leopard print pumps, a gold-plated ring (that hasn’t tarnished yet). What I love most (besides the prices) is that each of these pieces is incredibly versatile; I know I’ll be able to work each of these items into multiple outfits for various occasions. I’m still amazed that all the items cost a whopping total of $60.00 (even less if you use a promo code). The only item I caution against are the leopard print pumps because, honestly, they aren’t comfortable for more than 45 minutes at time (but cute and affordable shoes rarely are). They also aren’t made of real leather, but rather various synthetic materials. They are very similar in quality to the kind of pumps you can expect to find at Forever 21.
All in all, I highly recommend & Apparel for my modest fashionistas on a budget. If you decide to check out Andrea’s shop, don’t forget to use code downtown20 to get 20% of your entire order (your wallet will be VERY happy you did).
Here are so more items I’m crushing on from & Apparel:
Check out & Apparel’s site and let me know what you think! Are you a total fangirl now too?

You look so freakin beautiful & classy. Ok I seriously need a nice black skirt, but my hips are like so ridiculously wide. Help!
Elizabeth
> Holly LoubeThank you, girlie! I’m definitely blushing right now. ???? You are so tiny, I doubt your hips are “ridiculously” wide. Do you mind if ask what your body type and measurements are? I’ll send you some skirt suggestions once I know!

Elizabeth
> chelAnytime! I should mention that I typically get my maxis tailored (for $9 a pop) because they’re usually too long. Tailoring works wonders!
