Not so little known fact about me: I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. Not to sound like a hater, but I find the whole concept rather insensitive because, ummm hello, not everyone has a valentine (though I do appreciate the increasing popularity of Galantine’s Day to celebrate my girlfrans). But this year, I decided to reverse my dislike for this hallmark holiday by getting all dolled up and prettified. The good folks at JCPenney sent me this beautiful heart-shaped necklace, and it immediately inspired me to do a V-day shoot complete with pink, red, balloons, and LOTS of hearts (peep the mani).
I’ve got to gush about this necklace for a moment. It’s from JCPenney’s collaboration with Hallmark Diamonds. The heart is lined in real diamonds and the chain is made of sterling silver. The open heart design is reminiscent of the popular Tiffany pendant but still feels original (I actually like this design more). No question, this is a class piece that should be cherished. I’m frankly impressed with the quality of this necklace given how affordable it is (well, affordable for a diamond necklace). If you’re looking for a nice Valentine’s Day gift to give to a girlfriend or loved one, this makes for a lovely option! Or you can check out the rest of the gorgeous Heart of Hallmark collection to find a necklace that better suits her style.
Girls, what do you think? Would you want this necklace as a V-day gift?
