ABOUT THE SHOP
Adara is a new online boutique created for women “who love the elegance of high-quality clothing that offers both style and coverage.” The owner, Jahara, is super sweet and has a knack for choosing feminine clothes that are as wearable as they are chic.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS LACE TOP
The lace – The fabric used for this top is very high quality – which is perfect because I loathe cheap lace. You can easily spot cheap lace if it has noticeable netting in between the designs and is very thin. Thankfully, the lace in this top features intricate details in each flower and it’s sturdy.
The lining — Don’t be scared by the description of this top as “sheer.” The lace is definitely sheer (as you can see in the sleeves); however, this top is fully lined and has very modest coverage.
WHAT I DON’T LOVE ABOUT THIS LACE TOP
The shape – The only issue I have with this top is the shape or lack thereof. Boxy tops typically aren’t faltering on my petite frame. Thankfully, the delicate balances out the boxy shape and makes the top more ladylike.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS SKIRT
The fabric – This skirt is made of soft, luscious chiffon that feels like summer and lends very well to my next point. Oh, and this skirt comes in three different colors if neutral is your thing.
The movement – this skirt twirls and flows beautifully thanks to the chiffon and the way it’s banded at the waist. The movement you see in the above photos is real.
The banded waist – The waist features a black elastic band that’s about 2 inches thick and is perfect for adding a bit of stretch (making this a great skirt to wear to a casual dinner when you know you’re going to pig out).
WHAT I DON’T LOVE ABOUT THIS SKIRT
The uneven hem – Unfortunately the hem of this skirt was not cut evenly, so the left side was longer than the right, which you can actually spot in some of the photos above.
