…Yours truly! *insert blushing emoji* The good folks at Stitch Fix asked me to talk about my favorite confidence-boosting looks and offered to let me try their personal styling service with a free Fix. I mean, how could I say no?! This collaboration has been about a month in the making, and I’m SO happy to be able to share it with my lovely readers HERE.
Dress: Maggy London (c/o Stitch Fix) / Watch: Daniel Wellington / Clutch: H&M ($7.99)/ Sunnies: Miu Miu
Dress: 41Hawthorne (c/o Stitch Fix) / Jacket: H&M / Sunnies: Miu Miu / Watch: Daniel Wellington (get 15% off using code DOWNTOWNDEMURE)
If you’re like me, you’ve known about the goodness of Stitch Fix for ages but have been hesitant to try a styling service. But here are three reasons you should give Stitch Fix a try:
1) They now offer exchanges! If you receive an item in your fix that you love but doesn’t fit quite right, you can easily exchange for another size. Major win!
2) You only pay for what you keep. Well, you have to pay $20, but if you don’t keep anything in your fix, that will be your only expense for the service.
3) It takes the guesswork out of styling. What I love most about Stitch Fix is the styling card that comes with each Fix that clearly illustrates two ways to wear each item in your Fix. The card that came with my Fix actually inspired me to pair my faux-leather H&M jacket with the wrap dress for a perfect edgy-feminine look. The detailed styling advice is what differentiates Stitch Fix from other fashion subscription services. It’s very much a personal styling service, which is why I’d HIGHLY recommend it to any look looking for extra assistance putting together outfits.
BONUS: You’ll get gorgeous dresses like the two pictured above. While I didn’t love every item in my Fix (I sent back a boxy blouse and a skirt), I ADORE the dresses I received. Adore. Pro tip: Give very detailed feedback to your stylist about the kind of clothes you like and don’t like. If you’re not sure how to describe your style preferences, send your stylist links to your fashion-related Pinterest boards, which likely represent your personal style.

It is hard to rationalize the $20 a month when I really love to shop on my own!
I can see it’s great for women who don’t have time or energy!
The white dress is definitely my favorite of the two—very interesting & so lovely!

That first dress is SO cute on you!! Another pro I can think of to having a service like this is that it might encourage someone to try something they normally wouldn’t!

> Elizabeth WilliamsThank you, dear! That dress is a new favorite of mine (that I. Ant wear all the time next spring teehee). And you’re right! That’s a great benefit of a service like this.
