In case you haven’t heard, Pantone recently declared Masala, a deep reddish-brown color, as THE color of 2015. Well, I don’t have anything in my closet that technically classifies as Marsala, so I figured I’d take this burgundy/oxblood turtleneck for a spin in my neutral pleated maxi skirt instead. I’m a huge fan of this earthy, yet elegant color family, as much as I’m a fan of pleated skirts in general. Quick tip: If you’re a shorty like me, wearing tailored or well-fitting maxi skirt is an easy way to appear elongated (adding a pair of heels never hurts, either).

I passed a pin of your blog photo on pinterest and had to comment to say that I love the color of your turtleneck and am overly fond of the pale pink color and whimsical flow of the long pleated skirt. However I would have loved to see a necklace worn complementary to the color of the skirt to tie it all in. Please feel free to reach out to me the next time you are in search of accessories with flare or simplicity, we have both.
