It’s that time year again. Cherry Blossom Trees are blooming, everyone’s reluctantly moving their clocks forward, and (if you’re reading this post) you’re scrambling to find a cute outfit to wear to multiple outings during Easter weekend. For those of you wondering why it took me so long to put up a fashion-related post for Easter, I’ll be honest: I hadn’t planned to because I don’t celebrate Easter (if you’d like to know my thoughts on Easter, feel free to ask in the comments or via email). But then my good blogging friend Hayley @ A Beautiful Exchange asked for help finding a dress, and I figured she isn’t the only one turning to Google and popular retail sites only to come up empty-handed.
If you’re doing the last-minute hustle to find a nice dress, no worries – I’ve got you covered with this MASSIVE round-up of stylish and affordable dresses that are perfect for Easter weekend and just about any gathering/occasion you have on your social calendar this fine Spring season. Don’t worry, this post doesn’t contain an *excessive* amount of pastel and floral (but there are affiliate links).
My Fave:
What can I say? I’m predictably a sucker for large floral prints and flowy maxis with defined waists, which is why I heart this dress (Miranda Presley would be so unimpressed). Now, I’m not crazy about that low neckline, but that’s nothing a white or dark blue cami can’t fix. This dress is also calling for a crisp white cardigan belted at the waist. Here are some items I’d wear with this gorgeous dress:

These are all really perfect! Thanks for the roundup! My favorite is the long pink floral one… love how all of these have a fuller skirt. Very flattering!

Love the gingham checked! Sooo cute! I also love the Asos – those colors together are awesome. And most of the eShakti dresses are cute too.

Love all these dresses! You’re taste and style is so admirable. I ordered my easter dress last week from mikarose and am so in love with it! I am curious as to why you do not celebrate Easter… maybe you could do a post about that?
You have inspired me to dress more modestly and dress as I *should*, being a traditional Catholic woman, so thank you so much for that!

> KatieThank you, dear! I’m so happy to read that my blog has influenced you in a positive way. And Mika Rose has some lovely dresses, don’t they? 🙂
To answer your Q about Easter: While I obviously support celebrating the resurrection of Christ (which I think should be done EVERY day), I don’t celebrate Easter as an official *religious* holiday because I don’t see scriptural support that it’s a holiday sanctioned or instituted by God. I think it’s a man-made holiday that’s full of secular traditions (much like Christmas). However, I wouldn’t discourage someone from keeping Easter if his or her intent is to honor Christ. I also don’t think it’s wrong to enjoy the secular traditions associated with Easter (painting eggs and such). I’m just not interested in those traditions (aside from wearing pretty dresses, haha). Hope that makes sense!

It’s so exciting when the spring styles come out and there’s bright colors and flowers everywhere! I don’t typically get a new dress for Easter. But I am getting a new dress in the mail soon! But it will just be for spring in general 🙂 I don’t like to come in the church with a brand new dress on Easter, because I’m afraid it will take away from Christ. But I’m not saying no one should get an Easter dress! lol That’s just something personal for me. And I’m not saying I wouldn’t wear a new dress on Easter, if I had one and that’s what I wanted to wear lol Just saying that I don’t make it a priority, for personal reasons 😉

> Elizabeth WilliamsNo worries, I totally get it! Being that I don’t celebrate Easter, I don’t intend to get a new dress for it either. But I know a few people who were looking for dresses they could wear throughout Easter weekend and the rest of spring (because buying a dress JUST for Easter would be ill advised). That’s really who this post is for. 🙂

Adorable dresses! I like the floor-length floral Piper Street shop one. Ok, so you know it has to be asked, how come you don’t celebrate Easter?
