Repping Team Kindness + Hello, Grace Review

Tee: Hello, Grace ($25) // Skirt: Zara // Heel: JustFab // Purse: Reed Krakoff

It’s no secret — I know very little about most sports. You won’t catch me speaking passionately about the Lakers, the Clippers, the Dodgers or even the Kings (I’m from LA, so that’s borderline blasphemous to write, but whatevs), and I’m doing a tragic job of keeping up with the Olympics. But there is one team I will ALWAYS vouch for: team kindness. Kindess. It’s such a simple concept, but one that’s difficult to display consistently every day. Still, I firmly believe that everyone should be treated with kindness and shown some facet of Jesus’ love  (even when we feel they don’t necessarily deserve it).

Kindness isn’t just a cute t-shirt slogan for Hello, Grace; it’s a mantra and core value. That’s demonstrated in the kind of clothing they make – they specialize in tees with positive, faith-based slogans “inspired by the goodness of God”  — and in how they operate (they give 10% of every sale to a non-profit called Love Bought that’s building orphanages around the world). I’ll be honest. There are a lot of faith-based, but few have had the quality and cute typography that I’ve seen with Hello, Grace.

WHAT I LOVE

The Message — It’s simple, cute, and oh, so effective. I wish everyone – including myself – could model this slogan more in our daily lives, particularly when it’s not easy to be kind.

The Fit — I’m very picky about the fit of my t-shirts because most of my problem areas are on the upper half of my body namely my large arms, which look bulkier in any sleeve less than ½ length. I was so thrilled when my Hello, Grace tee arrived with mid-length sleeves and a slim-fitting body.

The Quality – This tee is technically composed of a mix of polyester, cotton, and, but it feels like it’s made of silky cotton. It’s that soft. And the letters feel sturdy and will likely withstand many washes before they start to fade and peel away.

The Price – All that goodness (and the other Hello, Grace designs) only costs  $25, and if you follow Hello, Grace on Instagram, you can catch the occasional discount code. 😉

What I Don’t Love

Nothing! This is a review first on Downtown Demure. There is truly and honestly nothing I don’t like about this tee. The message, the quality, the fit, and the price are the four quintessential components of a worthwhile tee – and Hello, Grace has nailed it

    This is fabulous!!
I wan’t much into the graphic tees at first, but I think they can speak volumes!! Especially the message on yours! I’ll definitely have to check out Hello, Grace.
And can I just say I love the tee with your skirt. In fact, I have a graphic tee series planned for the end of this month, and one of them is with skirts (and I went with dressy, fun skirts). My step mom was none too excited about the combination—she thought it was too out there. So I’m very happy to see you wearing this—I think it’s a wonderful way to make a t-shirt more upscale!
